The Zenfone 4 series is expected for a July unveiling.
A user on ASUS’s ZenTalk forum dug up a purported certified device list of Zenfone 4 series handsets from the Google Support site. According to the user’s leak report, there are six Zenfone 4 phones in the current pipeline, presumably targeting this July as their debut date.
The Zenfone 4 Max, based on its branding, will be the successor to last year’s Zenfone 3 Max, which featured mid-range hardware and a hefty battery pack.
The Zenfone 4 Pro looks like a new entrant to the series, as last year’s Zenfone 3 series didn’t feature a Pro model. Speculation for this version is that it will be replacing the Deluxe variant and will be sporting better specs than the base ZF4 model.
The Zenfone 4 Selfie has already made an appearance at GFXBench and it will be shipping with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, as well as a 16MP rear camera with 4K video, and a 12-megapixel selfie shooter capable of 4K video as well.
The basic Zenfone 4 handsets, based on their device and model numbers, might be available in different RAM and storage configurations. No concrete information yet on what these Zenfone 4 units will be packing.
Lastly, the Zenfone 4V is the third variant of the base Zenfone 4 handset and is speculated to be a Verizon exclusive.
