The large notch will live another day
While we wait for the official unveiling of the Mate 30 series, a promo poster of the upcoming flagship phablet surfaced, confirming key design elements and specs. Based on the poster, the Mate 30 will have a circular camera module housing four cameras, with the LED flash placed on the phone’s left side. We know that the Mate 30 Pro will have two 40-megapixel sensors, while the third camera is rumored to be a 5x periscope module. The fourth camera, meanwhile, is said to be a 3D sensor.
As for the front panel, the Mate 30 Pro will have the same notch-sporting display found on the Mate 20 Pro, though renders make it appear to be slightly smaller. Previous rumors point to the Mate 30 Pro sporting a 6.71-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a 90hz refresh rate.
The poster confirms the Kirin 990 processor powering the Mate 30 Pro, and is expected to have the same 40w SuperCharge fast wired charging and an updated 27w fast wireless charging to go along with its 4200mAh battery.
