The first “X” series device from Xiaomi?
According to the rumor mill, Xiaomi is aiming to launch the Xiaomi X1 as a replacement for the much-gossiped dual-camera Redmi Pro 2, as the first “X” branded handset. The X series, according to forum speculation, will be positioned as Xiaomi’s middle tier line-up, with the Redmi brand as the budget alternative and the Mi moniker for the high-end, flagship bearing family.
As for the Xiaomi X1’s specifications, supposedly the handset will come in two variants, with the better model packing a full-screen, bezel-less display, like the Xiaomi Mi Mix. Here’s what we’ve got on the X1’s hardware configuration.
Xiaomi X1 (Rumored Specs)
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor
- Qualcomm Adreno 512 graphics unit
- 4GB/6GB of RAM
- 5.5-inch display, 2160 x 1080 resolution
- 64GB/128GB expandable storage, via microSD
- Dual Sony IMX362/386 rear cameras
- Fingerprint sensor
Rumored pricing for the Xiaomi X1 starts at $295 (~Php 15K), for the cheaper variant.
