The legendary camera brand has arrived in the PH
Leica Camera Asia Pacific has opened their first ever store in the PH, partnering up with the Lucerne Group, a company that specializes in luxury timepieces. The new store, located at the lower ground floor of Greenbelt 5, has most of Leica’s cameras and accessories, and lenses.
To commemorate the occasion, devoted Leica fans have lent their cameras to a Leica mini-exhibit located at the second floor of Greenbelt 5. Models like the Ur-Leica (1912-1913), Leica II (1932) and Leica I (1923) are now on display, on loan from distinguished collectors like Manny Inumerable, Andrea Yang and National Artist Arturo Luz.

Leicas are as close as you can get to perfection as far as cameras go, and are very expensive, for a reason – the workmanship of a Leica camera is unparalleled, and it’s this very reason why they’re almost considered as family heirlooms. As far as price is concerned, they vary quite a bit, but don’t be surprised to see six digit price tags attached to some models in their “mid-range” offerings. You know what they say, if you have to ask the price….
