Lenovo A60: Affordable Dual-Sim Android Gingerbread Smartphone!

Affordable and Dual-sim with Android 2.3 Gingerbread

Lenovo is pushing their smartphones in the Philippines starting with their entry-level model, the Lenovo A60. It packs a 650MHz processor, 3.5″ (320×480) display, and it runs on Android Gingerbread 2.3. It also has a 3.2MP camera with a front-facing camera as well. What probably makes this different compared to a lot of other phones in this category is that it’s dual-sim! That’s definitely a draw for the mass market since a lot of Filipinos have at least 2 SIM cards.

How affordable is this? SRP is Php7,990. Not bad! It’s a little more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Y Netphone and cheaper than the Smart Netphone. Click here for a list of stores that carry this phone.

  1. It actually is a bit of a headache to own. I have been experiencing problems with the Lenovo A60. I have missed a lot of SMS and I found out my SMS for,the past three days were weren’t sent at all.

Oh yeah good luck with calls as well. I have friends who have told me that they often can’t call me because I was always out of the coverage area. Umm I work in Ortigas and live in QC how does that happen 🙁 and I’ve tried all the combinations of Sim cards and networks still no luck with it.

  2. there are patches and roms available that are more stable than the stock rom. if you are using your sim 1 data all the time, your sim 2 will not be available. there is already a latest rom where this issue is already fixed where you can be contacted since our phone is dual sim dual STANDBY. its not a dual active phone with dual radios.

    hope this helps

  3. manufacturer site doesn’t have driver support for pc. too bad. no cd from the package and no downloadable software from their site.
