Meet the Lenovo A690
With a wallet-friendly price tag of Php5,299, the Lenovo A690 stands as the new entry level Android smartphone of Lenovo Mobile. The specifications are modest at best but it does have chasis with a striking design. Just like the Lenovo A800 which we called the “Sexy Back” phone, the A690 also has the same ridged textured back plate. The 4-inch screen is also a welcome feature considering more entry-level devices of international brands have tiny 3-inch-3.5-inch displays.
Here’s a quick rundown of what’s under the hood:
Lenovo Ideaphone A690 Spec Sheet
- 1.0GHz MTK6575 ARMv7 Cortex-A9 CPU
- PowerVR SGX531 GPU
- 512MB RAM
- 512MB Internal Storage, expandable via microSD
- 4.0-inch WVGA screen, 800×480 resolution
- Dual SIM, Dual Standby
- 3.0-megapixel rear-facing camera
- 1,500mAh battery
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread
As you can see it still runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Truth be told, if you guys want a budget-friendly Lenovo smartphone, we recommend you just save an additional Php1,800 and just go for the Lenovo A800. That device not only looks amazing but it has very competitive specs including a dual-core processor and Ice Cream Sandwich. You can read more about our initial impressions of the Lenovo A800 here.
