Lenovo K860 coming to the Philippines

Lenovo Mobile Philippines bringing a Quad-Core Smartphone for less than Php20,000

Now this is very welcome news. Lenovo Mobile Philippines recently announced that the Lenovo K860, a 5-inch smartphone sporting a 1.4GHz Exynos quad-core processor, is going to launch here with an SRP of Php19,999. This makes the Lenovo K860 the most affordable quad-core powered handset in the market today. Amazing right?! Here’s a quick rundown of the specifications:

  • 1.4GHz Exynos Quad-core Processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 5-inch Display, 720 x 1280 pixels (~294 ppi pixel density)
  • 4GB Internal Storage, Expandable up to 32GB vis micro-SD
  • 8-megapixel camera, 3264×2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash
  • Can record 1080p @ 30 FPS Video
  • 2-megapixel front facing camera
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 2250 mAh Battery

As you can see Lenovo thought this product through. They have a good 8-megapixel shooter, a big screen with great photo quality, and a juiced up battery.

There’s no official announcement yet on the actual availability date but Lenovo should definitely put a lot of marketing behind this product when it launches so that it becomes the Android Christmas gift of choice of parents for their high school and college kids.
