Lenovo K91 Smart TV (CES 2012)

Android 4.0 ICS in a... TV? o_o

Lenovo K91 Smart TV announced at CES 2012

The Lenovo K91 Smart TV is a sneak peek into the next evolution of television. It’s no longer a TV trying to be a computer, it’s actually a computer fused into a TV! The K91 has Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as it’s operating system and it’s powered by a Qualcomm 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. I’m genuinely looking forward for this to hit the market so we can read full reviews about it. I wonder how different the experience will be compared to other smart TVs already available like the one being offered by Samsung.

Lenovo didn’t announce any pricing yet or even release date. They did say though that this will be first launched in China. There will be two models available upon launch: 55″ and 42″.

  1. Just the other day I was reading something about this on wired.com about household appliances having the ability to connect to the internet. It would be great if these new smart TV would have apps that would allow parents to know what their kids or (whoever is left in the house) are watching.

  2. Price would definitely be much higher than the first smart TVs available in the market today.
I hope they’ll make a Touchscreen Smart TV soon.

@ Alisa perhaps soon they will, since they are running on similar platform like the ones in our smartphones.

  3. This is so cooolllll!!! :))) Imagine rooting a TV! Joke. ๐Ÿ˜› Anyways, This is really a good idea. ๐Ÿ™‚
