New Contender in Town: Lenovo Announces Legion Phone Duel

Beyond its gaming laptops, Lenovo’s Legion sub-brand is entering the gaming phone segment with the Legion Phone Duel. The biggest standout design of the Legion Phone Duel is its design: unlike most phones in the market, the Legion Phone Duel is meant to be used in landscape orientation, which explains the side-mounted pop-up camera that houses a 20-megapixel f/2.2 snapper and the centrally-placed dual rear camera setup. The Legion Phone Duel’s rear cameras consist of a 64-megapixel f/1.89main camera and 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.

Like most of its rivals, the Legion Phone Duel is armed with the latest and meanest internals: Snapdragon 865+, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The display is a performer too: its 6.67-inch OLED panel boasts of a blazing-fast 144hz refresh rate and 270hz touch response rate.

For its gaming features, the Legion Phone Duel comes with ultrasonic side triggers and dual x-axis vibration motors for better haptic feedback. A liquid cooling pipe keeps the temps stable. You can hook up the Legion Phone Duel to a TV or monitor with Home Mode, which lets you pair a keyboard, mouse, or controller.

Keeping it powered is a 5000mAh battery that is split into two cells. Because of that, the Legion Phone Duel comes with a fast 90w wired charging solution. Lenovo claims that its charging solution can top up the Legion Phone Duel from 0 to 100% in 30 minutes.
