Lenovo ThinkPad X1

Lenovo ThinkPad X1

The high end ultraportable laptop segment is currently dominated by the MacBook Air and a distant second would probably be the Samsung Series 9. Lenovo is breaking into this segment though with the Lenovo ThinkPad X1. Despite the very slim form factor (16.5mm at its thinnest point and 3.7 lbs.), the notebook is probably one of the sturdiest in the market as it comes with a 13.3-inch Gorilla Glass display! Another cool feature is the fast charging technology which will get you up to 80% in just 30 minutes. In terms of power the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 is equipped with Intel Core 2011 processors which makes it a very able mobile and modern workhorse.

This isn’t officially launched in the Philippines yet so we don’t have the actual SRP. In the US though it’s priced at $1,399 or roughly around Php63,000. A little more expensive than the MacBook Air but more affordable compared to the Samsung Series 9 notebooks. I heard from sources though that it should be here pretty soon.

Here’s a promotional video which has more information on the product:
