Lenovo Unveils Three New Budget Smartphones

Meet the budget Lenovo S860, S850 and S660

Lenovo has just added three new smartphones to its budget lineup – the S860, the S850 and the S660. While all three smartphones all use MediaTek’s 1.3GHz quad-core MT6582 processor, they are geared towards different markets. The S860 for example, is geared towards people looking for the best bang for the buck, as it has a 5.3-inch IPS HD LCD display, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera and 16GB of internal storage.

The S850 on the other hand, is marketed towards people who want a premium looking device, as it has a glass design and a better, 13-megapixel main camera compared to the S860. The screen has been shrunk though, coming in at only 5-inches, but fortunately the display resolution stays the same, at 1280 x 720.

The S660 is the runt of the litter, possessing a 4.7-inch display, 960 x 540 resolution display, 1GB ram, 8-megapixel rear camera and VGA front camera.

No definite release date has been set for the three budget devices, though Lenovo has said that the S860 will retail for $349 (around Php 15,561) while the S850 will go for $269 (around Php 11,994). The S660 meanwhile will retail for $229 (Php 10,210).
