Android Lollipop is almost here, G3 users!

The local PR arm of LG has given us a heads up that PH owners of their fantastic G3 flagship should expect their Lollipop update on December. The update is now currently being rolled out to users in Poland and should make its way to the PH in the next few days. This latest Android OS delivers a host of improvements including a new design language with added depth, shadows, and animations. Notifications are improved with a new layout and color scheme and will be available on the new lock screen. A new security feature to strengthen the connectivity between devices will include enabling users to unlock their smartphone when it is physically near a pre-registered Bluetooth device such as the LG G Watch or G Watch R. Lollipop also introduces Android Runtime (ART) software to improve performance.

Jay Won, vice president for LG Mobile Philippines, said, “We are looking forward to delivering the Lollipop upgrade to the local market with our LG G3.  The new features and improvements of this new Android 5.0 will further cultivate the G3’s Simple is the New Smart philosophy and the brand’s commitment to providing continuously enhanced user experiences for our consumers.”

The timely update of Lollipop onto the G3 is just icing on the cake on the list of reasons why you should get the G3. If you’re still on the fence, maybe our full review of the device may change your mind.
