LG to Debut Robots for Airports, Homes, Gardens, Hotels, and More at CES

LG Robots Coming this CES 2017

LG has just announced that they will be showcasing artificial intelligence powered robots at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show this January at Las Vegas. They’re stepping up their robot game after the LG HOM-BOT automated vacuum cleaner with robots meant both for home and enterprise (office) use cases. According to LG we can expect the following at their CES showcase:

  • LG’s “Hub Robot” designed for home use will double as a smart home gateway and a personal assistant for consumers.
  • Another robot previewed at CES 2017 will demonstrate new capabilities for tending to one’s yard and garden.
  • LG’s robot lineup will also include models designed for commercial use in public spaces such as airports and hotels to help improve the traveler’s experience.

This is definitely something to monitor as artificial intelligence and robots take a bigger role in everyday life. Let’s just hope this doesn’t lead to Terminators being born, lol.
