LG’s Upcoming 65-inch OLED Prototype is Literally Paper Thin

LG’s Upcoming 65-inch OLED Prototype is Literally Paper Thin

It rolls up when not in use

LG is on a roll when it comes to innovation with display tech: For CES 2018, they have a ginormous 88-inch 8K OLED TV, a 4K UHD Projector, and AI-equipped TVs, on top of new monitors. And this new tech is quite interesting: Could you imagine a 65-inch TV disappearing in your room like paper when not in use?

That’s what LG plans to showcase with this new innovation. Though it is not that new (LG introduced a rollable display in CES 2016 but with an 18-inch display), the South Korean company figured that they could utilize the same tech with a bigger display. Aside from sporting OLED tech, this rollable TV has 4K UHD resolution to boot as well.

While a display that is as organic as paper may sound futuristic and uber cool, we still can’t think of other reasons to have one, other than fitting a huge ass TV on a small room, or for transporting it easily like a projector screen.

Nonetheless, this has to be the coolest display innovation tech LG will be showcasing at CES 2018. What do you think guys?
