iPhone 5 Units land in the PH
Manila Bulletin Tech Editor Art Samaniego has the reputation of being the very first to get the latest gadgets here in the Philippines. He lives up to that by being one of the very first Filipinos to own an iPhone 5. He actually flew to the US for the iPhone 5 event! He was also able to bring a couple of units via HK here to the PH for him and his friends.
One of the new owners of the iPhone 5 is ABS-CBN’s reporter and Apple enthusiast TJ Manotoc. Here’s a photo that Art posted earlier today of TJ and Rom proudly posing with their new Apple handsets.
The iPhone 5 hasn’t been officially launched locally but we’re hearing it will hit the market either late October or November. There are units in the gray market already with the 16GB unit being priced anywhere from Php48,000 – Php65,000. That said it’s better if you just wait for the official release unless you’re one of the lucky friends of Art. Hehe.
