Enough of those MediaTek jokes already, here’s our Snapdragon 765G vs. Dimensity 1000L review
Since the Helio G90T, MediaTek is proving to everyone that it is no longer the second-placer to Qualcomm when it comes to processors. AnTuTu’s Top-Performing Mid-Range Smartphones for November (AND October) 2019 proved that the Helio G90T-powered Redmi Note 8 Pro trumped all Snapdragon-powered mid-range phones, and the same applies to the Dimensity 1000L-powered Reno3.
A Weibo post shared AnTuTu scores between the Reno3 and the Snapdragon 765G-powered Reno3 Pro, and the former scored higher than the latter—and that’s despite the Reno3 Pro is marketed as a more premium model. Read on to learn more about the Snapdragon 765G vs. Dimensity 1000L.
Breaking down the scores, the Dimensity 1000L beats the Snapdragon 765G in CPU, GPU, and thermal performance, while the Snapdragon 765G edges it in memory and UX.
While these figures are synthetic, they should serve as an indicator of what to expect with MediaTek’s upcoming processors. Currently, MediaTek is working on the Dimensity 800 and Helio G70—both slated to launch early this year.
