Mediatek’s Upcoming Helio P70 Processor Scores Almost 157K in AnTuTu

Making it better than the Snapdragon 660 and Exynos 7872

A few weeks back, we got news that MediaTek is working on the Helio P40 and P70 processors. Made via a 12nm process, both processors will make use of Cortex A73 and 573 cores, along with Mali G72 graphics. While we have little details about the upcoming processors, a supposed AnTuTu benchmark of the Helio P70 has surfaced.

From the screenshot, the Helio P70 is said to get a score of 156906. The said score is higher than the Helio X30, Snapdragon 660, and Exynos 7872, with the latter two as its rivals in the upper-mid-range SoC game.

In a more detailed comparison, the Helio P70 outscored its rivals for its CPU score, while being almost at par with the Snapdragon 660 for its GPU, UX, and RAM scores. These stats should let the MediaTek naysayers think otherwise, as the Taiwanese company is making an extra effort in creating better (and more power-efficient) SoCs.
