While the processor takes a hit (Snapdragon 808 over the 810) the 950 has many of the same features of its bigger brother, including the impressive 20-megapixel rear camera. Curiously, the 950 still has liquid cooling tech inside, which should keep the Snapdragon 808 processor in the device nice and cool even under full load.

The Lumia 950 is expected to retail at $549 (Php 25.5K) when it goes on sale in November.

  1. Liquid cooling?
Probably just copper heat pipes on a SoC. Nothing new either — Sony has put 2, yes 2, heat pipes for cooling down a super-hot Snapdragon 810 on the Xperia Z5 series. The first Xperia smartphone to have one heat pipe is the Xperia Z2.

  2. its price start @ $549, I don’t know why lots of people ignore this kind of devices, it has a lot of unique feature which is always copied by other device. Solid hardware architecture, environmental body materials, associate with top camera lens company (Zeiss Optics), unique OS UI, comfortable for everyone, supported with updates, interconnection and compatibility of each device was amazing. If its because its lack of apps,… I want you to knows that those millions of apps offers by other OS’s are not 100% smooth running and lots of divide compatibility issues, at the same time, you cant install all of them in your device. Microsoft offers apps that is most important to human everyday life, and that what all we want. 1. The truth is, apps are what make an OS saleable. Another truth is, Microsoft’s apps library is not extensive enough. For example, something as simple as Instagram is still on Beta. It doesn’t even have all the features that a normal Instagram in iOS or Android has. Why? Because the developers feel like they don’t need to make the app better because there are not a lot of users anyway. And most people have Instagram on their phones. So why would a frequent Instagram user purchase a windows phone, when app they use a lot is not supported at 100% by the developer for that OS?

Social media is a huge deal for people nowadays. People are into photo editing tools that are easy and simple to use. VSCO app is one of the most popular photo editing app, which Windows doesn’t have. Why would a person needing VSCO or Snapseed switch to a Lumia phone when Microsoft doesn’t have that app?

Until the Windows store has all these popular apps, they will continue to be at the bottom, despite having great specs.

      1. You have a point in a certain part of your comment, and microsoft aware on that.. its hard to developer to learn a third OS language, so that microsoft launch UNIVERSAL apps, by which an existing IOS/ANDROID program can easily converter microsoft apps, as easy as that…and by the way, microsoft Apps Store, grow and developed positively from day to day,, so hope the Windows OS Lack of Apps issue may resolve… and im looking forward on it… but even it isnt happen, im still microsoft lover.. period.. ^_^

      2. Microsoft windows phone is AWESOME.. why,, because has a high quality but cheaper than Iphone. Its more personalize, but not buggy and ram eaty as android. Plus, its has the most high quality camera, and no one can disagree with it….im a Insider for Windows 10 phone,, and I love the Win 10 Phone OS… its the real Smart phone//
