A successor to the M2 Note?

We’ll see the phones in person in the next few days

While Meizu is a company that has a niche following in the PH, in its home country of China the brand enjoins a rabid fanbase. Meizu is one of Xiaomi’s biggest competitors, matching them in price and specs of their offerings. It’s no surprise then that the Chinese company is looking to announce its new products for 2016, and rumors are two new phones will be revealed on April 6 in Beijing, China: the M3 Note and the Pro 6.

The M3 Note  is the company’s follow-up to the M2 Note, and is expected to come with a 5.5-inch display, full HD resolution, fingerprint scanner and a MediaTek Helio P10 SoC. The Pro 6, on the other hand, is expected to come out with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display and Samsung’s Exynos 8890 processor (the same one on the Galaxy S7). A leaked document shows that the M3 Note is expected to retail in China for an equivalent of Php 5.7K without taxes for the lowest version, while the Pro 6 is expected to be priced at an equivalent of Php 19.9K.

While leaks say only the Note 3 will be launched at the April 6 event in china, we’ve confirmed with our sources that the Pro 6 will also be making an appearance during the event. We’ve been invited to cover the event for Meizu, so we’ll be seeing first hand what the phone looks like when we arrive in China during the second week of April.
