Mi Philippines Teases New Product on Facebook, Is This The Mi 4i?

Will we finally get the Mi 4i?

Three months after being launched at an event in India, Xiaomi might finally be releasing the Mi 4i here in the Philippines. The company has been dropping teasers and hints about the product in their official Mi Philippines Facebook page which points to the eventual release of the Mi 4i locally.

The answer to the riddle is four i’s. Four i’s = Mi 4i. Not really that subtle of a hint – the question is how much will the Mi 4i be priced in the Philippines. In Malaysia, the Mi 4i is priced at RM 749 which around Php 8,900. At that price pinoys may be lured away from other international and local bang-for-the-buck phones like the Alcatel Flash Plus and the Flare X, though it’s hard to know for sure if Xiaomi still has the same appeal as they did last year. The Mi 4i will also be the first test of Xiaomi’s offline pricing – we’ll know for sure if the company will retain one price on both offline and online sales or if the move to offline increased the companie’s overhead, forcing them to raise prices.

  1. Kailangan nilang babaan ang presyo dahil obsolete na ang 16gb with no expandable storage ngayong 2015.

  2. LOL, let’s just say kung sa bagong SRP scheme ng xiaomi ang pricing nito. nasa 12k na ang SRP nito sa pinas. hahaha

      1. finally something we agree on. too bad xiaomi has gone to the “dark side” and went from bang to the buck to somehow overpriced, at least based on their product standing.
