Microsoft Announces New Surface Products

Including a pair of Surface Headphones

During its Surface Press Conference today, Microsoft introduced its update line of Surface products. Starting off with the Surface Pro 6, Microsoft’s 2-in-1 laptop now comes in Matte Black and boasts of improved cooling and quad-core processors. Microsoft claims up to 13.5 hours of battery life with the Surface Pro 6.

Save for those changes, it comes with the same 12.3-inch display, up to 16GB of RAM, and 1.7-pound weight as with its predecessor.

As for the Surface Laptop 2, it now comes with 8GB RAM, but retains the same specs of the OG Surface Laptop: up to 1TB SSD, 13.5-inch display, 1x USB 3.0, a Mini Displayport, and a 14.5-hour battery life.

The Surface Studio 2, Microsoft’s all-in-one, comes with a brighter display than its predecessor, and has up to 50% better graphics power thanks to NVIDIA’s Pascal architecture. In addition, the Surface Studio 2 ditches the hybrid HDD for a 2TB SSD.

Last but not the least is the Surface Headphones. The newest addition to the Surface family, these Bluetooth-powered cans have Cortana built-in, up to 13 levels of noise cancellation, USB-C connectivity, 40mm drivers, 4 beam forming mics, and 4 active noise cancelling mics.

Pricing of the latest Surface products are as follows:

Surface Pro 6 – Starting at $899 (~Php 48.8k)

Surface Laptop 2 – Starting at $999 (~Php 54.2k)

Surface Studio 2 – Starting at $3499 (~Php 189.7k)

Surface Headphones – $350 (~Php 19k)

The Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2, and Surface Studio 2 are available for pre-order at Microsoft’s Online Store today.
