More reasons to be excited about Xiaomi’s 2019 flagship
Xiaomi has been quite generous in teasing the Mi 9 days before its release. While we know about that new blue gradient color, 48-megapixel Sony IMX 586 main rear camera, and USB-C port, Xiaomi just dropped more details about its upcoming flagship.
Aside from the blue color, there will be a gray color that Xiaomi founder Lin Bin describes as “showing elegant flowing light”. Accompanying the 48-megapixel camera at the back is a 12-megapixel telephoto camera and 16-megapixel wide-angle camera, giving the Mi 9 a flexible photo and video setup.
Powering the Mi 9 is a Snapdragon 855 processor with RAM and storage options ranging from 6GB/64GB to 8GB/256GB. The crazy part is the price, as the 6GB/64GB model will sell for CNY 2499(~Php 19.4k)—an insane price considering that you are getting a Snapdragon 855 processor.
In addition to that, it appears that there will be an Alita edition, as Xiaomi Philippines Sales Manager Tony Lin teased on his Facebook account.
The Mi 9 is expected to launch in China on February 20 and at MWC 2019 on February 24. By the looks of it, Xiaomi’s 2019 flagship is very promising.
