More Details on the Galaxy Note 9 Surface ahead of Official Launch

More interesting stuff popping out as the launch date comes close

As we wait for the unveiling of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 on August 9, more details about the upcoming phablet continue to surface. Starting off with the colors, Samsung will be releasing a Lilac Purple Galaxy Note 9, on top of the Coral Blue and Midnight black versions that were spotted earlier.

In addition, a closer look at the Galaxy Note 9’s camera module confirms the use of the same variable aperture camera found on the Galaxy S9 and S9+.

Next is the battery: Based on a new certification document, the Galaxy Note 9 is confirmed to have a 4000mAh battery, which is a big upgrade over the 3300mAh battery found on the Galaxy Note 8. The last time Samsung fitted their phone with a big battery was with the Galaxy A9 Pro.

Lastly, new details about the Galaxy Note 9’s (and Galaxy Tab S4’s) S Pen functionality. In a teardown done by XDA Developers, the S Pen has a variety of functions that include controlling music, remote camera shutter, and unlocking by using the S Pen, among other things.

While people would argue that it is hard to differentiate the Galaxy Note 9 from its predecessor, these confirmed features prove that there are a number of changes for the Galaxy Note 9.
