Moto G5 and G5 Plus Specs Leak Out

Moto G5 and G5 Plus Specs Leak Out

Lenovo’s Moto smartphone division will be debuting their 5th generation handsets soon, Brazilian tech site Tecnoblog reported on Monday.

According to the post, the guys over at Brazil managed to score the key specs of the G5 handset from the database of a local major retailer. Here’s what we have so far on the Moto G5.

Lenovo Moto G5 (Rumored Specs)

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor
  • Qualcomm Adreno 505 GPU
  • 3GB RAM
  • 5-inch FHD display, 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • 32GB internal storage
  • 13-megapixel rear camera
  • 5-megapixel front camera
  • 2800mAh battery
  • Android 7.0 Nougat

If the rumored spec sheet is reliable, Moto’s changed gears and opted for a smaller form factor for their base 5th generation smartphone, as the previous G4 had a 5.5-inch frame. The spec sheet looks relatively similar to the G4 as well, apart from the sizing, chipset, and battery capacity. We’ll have to wait for more corroborating leaks to see what other improvements Lenovo has added into the mix.

As for phablets, the earlier leaked Moto G5 Plus will be filling in the vacant 5.5-inch display space, packing a much powerful Snapdragon 625 octa-core CPU as well.

Lenovo Moto G5 Plus (Rumored Specs)

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor
  • Qualcomm Adreno 506 GPU
  • 4GB RAM
  • 5.5-inch FHD display, 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • 32GB internal storage
  • 13-megapixel rear camera
  • 5-megapixel front camera
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • 3080mAh battery
  • Android 7.0 Nougat

Word around the rumor mill is that the Moto G5 series is slated for a March release window. As for pricing concerns, some speculate that the G5 will be coming out at the same $200 (~Php 10K) price range as last generation’s G4. We’ll find out more details as more leaks pop out of the woodwork.
