Motorola has not forgotten about the G series just yet
While Motorola has been focused on launching new models under the One line, the brand has not yet forgotten its budget mid-range G series. In fact, the brand is set to launch a new model called the Moto G8 Plus soon.
Leaked by Roland Quandt, the Moto G8 Plus sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display—which is a smidge bigger than the one on the Moto G7 Plus. There’s a speaker grill on top of the 25-megapixel selfie camera, fueling speculations that the Moto G8 Plus might come with stereo speakers.
While other brands are going for a circular camera module, Motorola is sticking to an older design for the Moto G8 Plus’ triple rear cameras. As the branding states, the Moto G8 Plus will have a 48-megapixel main camera paired with a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera that can shoot landscape footage while in portrait mode a la One Action and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. the camera-like module is home to a laser autofocus sensor.
The Moto G8 Plus will get a significant processor upgrade with a Snapdragon 665 SoC, though RAM and internal storage will be roughly the same save for a 128GB option. You get a beefier 4000mAh battery on the Moto G8 Plus, along with Motorola’s 27w TurboPower charging (which is their own naming for Power Delivery).
The Moto G8 Plus is expected to be unveiled in Brazil on October 24.
