Motorola Slashes Price Of Moto E, Now Just Php 4,999

A better price for the Moto E

When we reviewed Motorola’s Moto E a few months ago, one of our main gripes was price. At Php 6,999 it was going head-to-head with smartphones that gave users way better value for money than the budget phone did. Now Motorola Philippines has managed to correct that little problem, and has adjusted the price of the Moto E to deal with the realities of the PH market.

Moto E (2015) specs

  • 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 4.5-inch IPS qHD display, 540 x 960 resolution
  • 8GB of storage, expandable via microSD
  • Dual-SIM
  • 3G, LTE
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS
  • Android Lollipop
  • 2390mAh battery

The Motorola Moto E is now just Php 4,999 in Lazada. With that price cut, the Moto E becomes a nice to have smartphone to a very desirable and competitive device, even if it’s a little long in the tooth. It’s definitely going to get Android Marshmallow updates down the line, which can’t be said for the same devices in its price category.

  1. “With that price cut, the Moto E becomes an overpriced nice to have smartphone to a very desirable and competitive device, ”

    Ano daw?

    1. hehe baka hilo lang because of holiday rush. pero dapat siguro “turns from an overpriced nice to have smartphone into a very desirable and competitive device,”

  2. Got a chance to use a friend’s overpriced Samsung Galaxy Grand with the Snaplizard 410. Super duper laggy even for basic use. This Motorola trash, I’m sure, would be just as useless.

    1. Do not judge all of Android by your experience with Samsung. Stock android is no slouch. Even on hardware like this. You want no lag? Stop looking at phones below 10k for a start.

      1. Sure. If you can stomach paying 15k for an SoC that is inferior (though no one wants to admit that) to MediaTek’s 67xx line.

  3. We bought Myphone My33 5″ hires screen. instead of that 4.5″ Moto, mas sulit pa with it’s Clearmotion video technology and may front camera flash pa, sulit!

  5. sABI NGA NILA…napaglipasan na ito ng panahon…Php5k will buy you some decent local brand (720p, More storage, faster SoC)
