MWC 2018: Lenovo Reportedly In Works Of Bringing Back The Moto RAZR

Though with a different approach

If you think that HMD Global’s nostalgia-inducing releases with last year’s Nokia 3310 and Nokia 8110 are nostalgic enough, think again.

Here at MWC 2018, a report by TechRadar mentioned that Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing shared to select journalists the possibility of reviving the Moto RAZR. While he already hinted at a possible revival last year, Yuanquing elaborated that the Moto RAZR revival will be more innovative, especially with the advent of foldable displays.

Yuanquing’s comment hints at a different approach to reviving the Moto RAZR: It may not be as close to the original models like what HMD Global did for the Nokia 8110 and Nokia 3310, but instead, it can potentially be an ultra-futuristic version of the Moto RAZR–foldable displays and all.

With the Moto G6 series being a no-show at MWC 2018, the renewed hints at the Moto RAZR revival is one of the more interesting developments with Motorola. What do you think?
