MyPhone’s APEC Tablet Giveaway Is Probably the my51 Dual-boot Tablet

This is probably what the APEC delegates got

A few days ago we reported that the PH government gave commemorative MyPhone-branded tablets to selected APEC delegates. Curiously, the tablet was a model that was running Windows, an operating system that hasn’t shown up on any previously released MyPhone devices.

Now we have a good idea of the specifications of that yet to be released tablet and a name. Apparently that Windows tablet is the hybrid, Android/Windows capable my51, according to a post in The Big Time Show community. It’s hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like the tablet runs a 1.83GHz quad-core processor (most certainly part of the Intel Atom family) that has 32GB of storage, 1GB of RAM, 2800mAh battery and a TV-out. Certainly not the fastest of tablets, but since it’s more of a symbolic gift, the specs aren’t as important as the gesture.

    1. Exactly….APEC was an excuse to siphon taxpayers’ money into the pockets of corrupt politicians,or probably campaign funds to boost the winning chance of Mar Roxas….Php10 Billion is ludicrous!

  1. ANG CHEAP!!! Nakakahiya!

  3. I have an APEC tablet and it lasts me a day use. I use for Scribd, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, Twitter and Snapchat. Switching the OS is nice too
