Mystery Nokia Phone Appears with Circular Camera Module, 48-Megapixel Camera

HMD Global’s next mid-range offering?

HMD Global is joining the 48-megapixel race with this mysterious phone. Codenamed Daredevil, the mystery phone sports a circular camera module home to a Zeiss-branded triple rear camera setup. The main camera is a 48-megapixel f/1.8 snapper, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and ToF sensor, and it appears to use the same stock Google camera UI used in all Android One devices.

Going to the design, this mystery phone has a dewdrop notch, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a dedicated Google Assistant button—reminiscent of the Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2’s design.

There’s no word yet on release date and other specs, so expect HMD Global to talk more about the phone in the coming weeks.
