Mystery Samsung Galaxy Phone Spotted in TENAA

Mystery Samsung Galaxy Phone Spotted in TENAA

A Galaxy S9 Mini? Or another Galaxy A8 variant?

A new Samsung phone was spotted over at TENAA with a rather intriguing design and an interesting set of specs to boot. Called the SM-G8850, this mystery phone sports vertically-mounted dual rear cameras placed a la iPhone X, along with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Going to the front, you have a single front camera and the usual set of buttons, with the addition of a Bixby button on the left side. As for specs, this mystery phone is said to sport a Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and a Full HD+ display based on this leaked AnTuTu screenshot:

Further digging through, reports indicate that it will have two 12-megapixel rear cameras, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a screen size of around 5.6 to 5.8 inches. Powering the SM-G8850 is a 3000mAh battery, and it will come with Android Oreo out of the box.

While it may be called the Galaxy A8—specifically another variant of it, as we have the Galaxy A8 (2018) and A8+ (2018) earlier this year, there’s a possibility that this may be a Galaxy S9 variant. Unfortunately, the phone is said to be exclusive to China, so there’s little chance that it will make it to our shores.
