An affordable monster?
Everybody was impressed when Acer announced their upcoming Predator smartphone with MediaTek’s Helio X20 deca-core processor. The appeal of a high-spec, beastly phone is definitely something that strikes a chord with a lot of people, but their wallets may not be too happy about the pricing. Well, Cherry Mobile has your back – apparently they’re also planning on a monstrous smartphone that’ll come with MediaTek’s X20 SoC, the same processor on the Predator.
This was confirmed by both MediaTek and Cherry Mobile during their recently concluded event, though Lonson Alejandrino, Cherry Mobile Product Manager for Smartphones said that they’re still working with their partners on the upcoming device. The company is targeting to release the phone on the first half of next year if everything goes according to plan, which is pretty much par for the course in terms of flagship announcements for the local company.
