Once you buy the global version, it’ll be on Android Nougat
We’re all eagerly awaiting the official international version of the Nokia 6 to hit our shores since you’ll be hitting a lot of roadblocks if you buy the Chinese version of the device from HMD Oy. While we’re waiting with bated breath for HMD Oy to release the global version of the Nokia 6, know that the company is already rolling out Android Nougat updates to the phones already in circulation.
This means that when the English, Google Play-equipped Nokia 6 drops in the Philippines Android Nougat will already be on board and ready to go. Despite the phone being launched a few months prior, it’s one of the most solid phones in its (non-inflated) price range – if only it was initially offered in English and had Google Play installed when it was first released.
