Nokia 808 PureView to Launch in May

Monstrous 41-megapixel camera

Nokia 808 PureView launching in May

Remember the Nokia 808 PureView which was launched at Mobile World Congress? You know, the one packing a ridiculous 41-megapixel camera? Well if it caught your fancy then we have great news for you. Nokia just posted a press release on their website saying that the Nokia 808 PureView will roll-out in selected markets this May. While there is no announcement yet from Nokia Philippines we have a strong feeling this will be available locally as well.

Nokia PureView 808 Spec Sheet

  • Single Core 1.3GHz Processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 4-inch AMOLED Display with Gorilla Glass
  • NFC enabled
  • 16GB Storage
  • USB on the go
  • OS: Symbian Belle

Unfortunately the Nokia 808 PureView still runs on Symbian so that means you’ll have a limited selection of applications at your disposal. It would have been awesome if Nokia launched this packing Windows Phone 7.5. Who knows? Maybe we’ll see a Lumia with PureView technology in a year or two?

We’ll try to get word from Nokia Philippines if this will be available here as well. Looking forward to seeing how much this will be priced!
