OnePlus 3/3T To Get Android O Within This Year

The flagship killers are set to get Android O later this year

While OnePlus’ recently released flagship killer, the OnePlus 5 is certain to receive an Android O update before the year ends, it’s not as clear cut for the older 3/3T models. Well, the folks at OnePlus held a AMA on Reddit the other day, and unsurprisingly, the answer was yes.

OnePlus 3T Specifications

  • 2.35GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor
  • 6GB of RAM
  • Adreno 530 GPU
  • 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED display; 1920×1080 resolution
  • 64GB of Internal Storage
  • 16-megapixel rear camera, PDAF, OIS, f/2.0 aperture, LED flash
  • 16-megapixel front camera, f/2.0 aperture
  • 4G, LTE
  • Dual SIM
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC
  • GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS
  • Fingerprint Scanner
  • USB Type-C
  • 3400mAh Battery with Dash Charge
  • Oxygen OS 4.0.2

Obviously the devs could not give a solid release date, only saying that the Android O update will be arriving this year. It’s still too early to peg a clear release date for the update, seeing as Google hasn’t even officially named the new version of its Android operating system yet. At least owners of the previous version of the flagship killer can look forward to the eventual update this 2017.
