OnePlus 6T Official: Dewdrop Notch, Snapdragon 845, Starts At $549

Is it still a flagship killer?

OnePlus has officially taken the wraps off of their newest smartphone, the OnePlus 6T, a full day before they were supposed to thanks to Apple ruining their special day. Despite that and plenty of rumors, the phone is finally here, and the device packs quite a bit of oomph to keep OnePlus fans interested.

The new device has killed the external fingerprint sensor in favor of a new in-display scanner embedded 6.4-inch Optic AMOLED panel. The notch is there but it’s really, really tiny. Aside from the external fingerprint scanner, OnePlus also killed the 3.5mm jack, which is kind of a bummer especially since the company roasted Apple when they made that courageous decision themselves a few months ago.

The cameras remain virtually unchanged from the OnePlus 6, with the phone sporting a main 16MP f/1.7 OIS and a secondary 20MP f/1.7 for telephoto shots, and a 16-megapixel f/2.0 camera.

Inside the device runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, along with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage depending on the variant you buy.

Speaking of variants, the OnePlus 6T starts at $549 or Php 29.3K for the 6GB/128GB Mirror Black variant, with the 8GB/128GB version in either Mirror Black or Midnight Black running you around $579 or Php 31K. The top-of-the-line 8GB/256GB Midnight Black variant will run you $629 or Php 33.6. Take note prices are directly converted and do not reflect local, official pricing as of yet.
