After confirmation that the OnePlus 6T will have an in-display fingerprint scanner, OnePlus CEO Carl Pei confirmed that the upcoming phone will be ditching the headphone jack. In an interview with TechRadar, Pei said that “making a great phone doesn’t mean putting every component available into the device,” and that it has been an option they have been talking about for a while. “We knew this was an option for a very long time, we were just waiting for the right time.”
As a response, OnePlus introduced a new Bullets V2 headset the comes with a Type-C port. While it will have the same price as the 3.5mm version, the Type-C version comes with a Cirrus Logic DAC.
