Oneplus 7T Quick Review: Better Value than the Pro?

Oneplus 7T Quick Review: Better Value than the Pro?

A Quick Look at the OnePlus 7T!

We all know that OnePlus has two release cycles every year. We recently had the chance to experience the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro a few months ago but, in what feels like a blink of an eye, our friends over at Digital Walker just launched its upgraded versions of these devices — the OnePlus 7t and the OnePlus 7T Pro. John has already given you the lowdown on the latter of the two, so let’s look at the 7T.

The Circle is In

In terms of its overall silhouette, there really isn’t much of a difference between the 7T and the 7T Pro. They both share the same frosted matte finish on the back with slightly varied versions of their color variants.

The OnePlus 7T comes in either Frosted Silver if you want something a little more with a classic, timeless appeal and the Glacier Blue that you see in our photos.

The biggest change to the design language of the OnePlus 7T is the camera module that houses its triple camera array. It features a 48-megapixel main camera at f/1.6 with a Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16-megapixel wide-angle shooter, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera.

For taking selfies, there’s no pop-up camera module here — just a good ‘ol fashioned notch but, don’t worry, it’s not that big.

The one thing we love about OnePlus devices is the addition of the 90Hz display. On the OnePlus 7T, you’re getting one at 6.55-inches Fluid AMOLED display at QHD+ resolution. It’s definitely a sight to behold and I can’t suggest that you try it out when you get the opportunity cause it really is something else.

You’re also getting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor on this device, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. If you’re wondering about the performance difference between the standard 855 and the overclocked one, the website says that there’s a 15% boost in the 855+. In short, I don’t think the processing package will leave you wanting.

The OnePlus 7T is running on Android 10 with one of the best UI overlays in the game — OxygenOS. The community is awesome at pushing upgrades for bugs and optimizations so it always gets plus points for that.

You can purchase the OnePlus 7T for Php 32,990 at select Digital Walker stores or you can order the device via their Lazada Flagship store as well.
