OnePlus 8 Lite Renders Surface with Rectangular Camera Module

OnePlus 8 Lite Renders Surface with Rectangular Camera Module

A lightweight OnePlus phone in the works?

For the longest time, OnePlus has been focused in launching affordable flagship phones, limiting its lineup to one or two models (the latter started with the OnePlus 7 and 7T series). The only time OnePlus launched a mid-range phone was with the OnePlus X back in 2015.

For its 1H2020 lineup, that might change as renders of a so-called OnePlus 8 Lite recently surfaced. The current renders present a design similar to Samsung’s Galaxy A 2020 phones—central punch-hole and rectangular camera module in tow. The camera module will be home to two cameras, with a laser autofocus module found right beside it, and the display appears to be not curved.

The specs remain unknown for now, but does this mean OnePlus intends to compete in the saturated mid-range market?
