Following the unveiling of the OnePlus 8 series last April, OnePlus is set to launch the OnePlus 8T on October 14, according to Ishan Agarwal. What makes this launch interesting is that it appears that OnePlus is dropping the Pro model and will switch back to launching just one model.
New renders of the OnePlus 8T show a flat display with a small punch-hole, along with a revised rear camera module where you have a rectangle-shaped array that’s being used with recent phones from Samsung, OPPO, and vivo.
As for upgrades, the new model will be getting a 120hz panel and a 32-megapixel selfie snapper. As for the rear cameras. the OnePlus 8T is going for a quad-camera setup that gets an upgraded 5-megapixel macro camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The main camera and ultra-wide-angle camera remains to be the same as the OnePlus 8.
The battery also gets an upgrade on the new phone, this time with a 4500mAh cell and 65w Warp charging. Internals will remain the same, so expect a Snapdragon 865 processor, 8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.0 storage.
Like with the unveiling of the Nord, the OnePlus 8T will launch in an online-only event.
