Possibly the “most beautiful” OnePlus phone to date
OnePlus loves teasing the OnePlus 6. From the key specs, the notch-hiding feature, the new functions of the alert slider, to camera samples, the OnePlus 6 is shaping to be a potential flagship killer just like its predecessors. For its latest teaser, OnePlus CEO talks about the “honest design” of the OnePlus 6.
In a post at OnePlus’ forums, Lau shared that a good design “does not deliberately pursue the exaggeration of the external form”. They have applied this principle from the original OnePlus to the upcoming OnePlus 6
As with the design process of the OnePlus 6, Lau mentioned the use of glass for their upcoming phone. It took them at least 70 prototypes before finding the best design for the OnePlus 6. For the production version, Lau shared that the OnePlus 6 will have 5 layers of NanoTech coating to “give the back of the device a stronger impression of depth that our most demanding users will surely appreciate”. We’re not sure what that means, but we expect the OnePlus 6 to be a beautiful device nonetheless.
