OnePlus Starts Rollout of Oreo-based OxygenOS 5.0 To OP5 Owners

It’ll slowly be rolled out for everyone

After a few beta builds, OnePlus is finally rolling out the final version of OxygenOS 5.0 based on Android Oreo for the OP5. The new update contains a few optimizations to the Shelf, as well as all the things that make Android Oreo so great.

There will also be a few changes to the camera app, as well as a new place tab and history and alarm calendar features of Calculator and Clock, respectively.

OnePlus founder Carl Pei also mentioned that the OnePlus 5 will also be receiving the OnePlus 5T’s face unlock feature, though right now there’s no timeline when that’s supposed to happen.

OnePlus is now rolling out the update to a small pool of users first before a wider release, so please be patient if you haven’t gotten a notification yet.
