OnePlus to Launch More Mid-Range Phones

With the OnePlus Nord generating much hype as of late because it has been a while since OnePlus unveiled a compelling mid-range phone, there are reports that OnePlus has more mid-range phones along the way. With the Nord being exclusive to Europe, India, and Asia (the Philippines included), there is a cheaper OnePlus phone in the works, and it is said to be coming to the US.

Said to be called the Aurora, Max J revealed in a video a concept render of the upcoming phone.

The almost 2-minute concept video reveals two phones: one with a triple rear camera setup and one with a dual-rear camera setup. Like the Nord, both phones have a punch-hole display and presumably an in-display fingerprint sensor.

As for the specs, the Aurora is rumored to have a Snapdragon 690 processor, which is Qualcomm’s upcoming affordable 5G processor. The mid-range processor supports sub-6Ghz 5G frequencies and has two Cortex-A77 cores running at 2.0Ghz and six Cortex-A56 cores running at 1.7Ghz. The Snapdragon 690 natively supports up to 120hz displays, so the Aurora might have at least a 90hz display.

If that’s not enough, OnePlus might join the entry-level market with an upcoming phone called the Clover. According to Android Central, the Clover will have a triple rear camera setup, Snapdragon 460, 6.52-inch HD+ display, and a huge 6000mAh battery with 18w charging.

We’re taking this information on the Aurora and Clover with a grain of salt, for now, so make sure to stay tuned to the site for more updates.
