OnePlus Unveils the OnePlus 6

The fastest OnePlus to date

To much anticipation, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 6, its newest flagship model, at the Copper Box Arena in London today. Key changes include upgraded cameras, a Snapdragon 845 processor, a simplified design that includes a curved Gorilla Glass 5 back—a first for OnePlus, and water resistance—also another first for the brand.

Aside from coming with Android 8.1 out of the box, the OnePlus 6 is one of the few phones that is qualified for the Android P developer program. As for the OxygenOS overlay, OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei claims that they have a team dedicated to improving OxygenOS, resulting in over 200 optimizations.

Going to the cameras, the OnePlus 6’s dual rear cameras have bigger 1.22um pixels (for the primary camera), come with improved OIS, low-light, and portrait mode features. Also worth noting is its slow-motion feature, where it can record up to one minute of footage and lets the user choose which portion of the clip needs to be slowed down.
