While the A72 launched in several countries (the Philippines included) last April, OPPO launched a different A72 in China—this version being 5G enabled. As a 5G model, the A72 5G uses MediaTek’s recently-launched Dimensity 720 processor that is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
While it has the same 6.5-inch, Full HD+ punch-hole display as its 4G sibling, the A72 5G ups the refresh rate to 90hz. Instead of a 16-megapixel selfie, snapper, you get an 8-megapixel sensor instead. Going to the back, the A72 5G settles for a modest triple rear setup: 16-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. Unlike the A72 4G’s generous 5000mAh battery, the A72 5G settles for a 4040mAh battery instead.
