A new direction for OPPO?
Following the launch of the OPPO Reno series, OPPO Vice President Brian Shen confirmed in an interview that the R-series is dead and will be replaced by the Reno series. This development makes the R17 Pro the last model in the series, as OPPO will be focusing with the Reno and Find series moving forward.
The R-series has been an important product line for OPPO, as it sold more than 100 million units globally.
In line with killing off the R-series, Shen said that they will be changes in how they will market the Reno and Find series, emphasizing on “the beauty and great quality of its smartphones”.
OPPO is expected to launch a 5G version of the Find X later this year.
