OPPO Releasing Brand New Camera-centric F1 Smartphone

A new entry in OPPO’s lineup

Chinese brand OPPO is no stranger to mobile photography. Their innovative N3 and the Find 7 are testament to the firm’s commitment to offering top-tier smartphones with great cameras. But apparently OPPO feels that there’s still room for a separate, camera-centric product lineup, with the first device being the F1.

According to OPPO Vice President Sky Li, the new F series will “inherit the excellent camera performance and exquisite design tradition that have earned accolades for OPPO’s flagship series,” which leads us to believe that the new lineup will put camera performance first and high-end features and components second. This means that the new F series of devices may be specc’d in the mid-range category yet still sport high-end cameras and camera features.

  1. Knowing Oppo, they’ll probably put in a pitiful Snaplizard 410 to offset the cost of the camera. Then charge an arm and a leg.
