OPPO Teases A92s 5G in China

To be an “affordable” 5G phone

UPDATE: According to a Weibo post, the 8GB/128GB variant of the A92 is priced at CNY 2499(~Php 18k).

Aside from the Ace2, OPPO is expanding its A-series line as well. Aside from the previously rumored A52 and A92, there’s an A92s in the works as well. Unlike its non-S sibling, OPPO teased this phone as an “affordable” 5G phone.

The teaser poster reveals that the A92s will have a pill-shaped punch-hole display and what appears to be a 120hz touch response feature. Leaked renders, on the other hand, reveal a quad-rear camera setup housed in an unconventional square-shaped module.

According to leaked specs, the A92s will be powered by a Dimensity 800 processor and will have a 6.57-inch LCD display. Keeping the lights on is a 4000mAh battery with 18w USB-PD chargingan unusual choice considering a big chunk of OPPO phones use VOOC charging. For the cameras, you get a 16-megapixel IMX471 and 2-megapixel depth sensor for the front cameras, and 48-megapixel IMX 586, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, 2-megapixel depth sensor, and 2-megapixel macro for the rear cameras.

There’s no official word when the A92s will launch, but rumors say that it will be unveiled alongside the Ace2.
