It will have 4GB of RAM though
With MWC over, one of the few international phone brands that didn’t reveal anything during the week-long event was OPPO. While the company revealed two new technologies during the show, none of their new phones made an appearance in Barcelona.
Apparently the company was saving their upcoming devices for a reveal at their home turf. Invites for a March 17 event has been posted online, which points to new models in the company’s R lineup.
So what is OPPO launching? Well, it’s rather obvious that they’ll be launching their new R9 smartphone, which, according to a listing in TENAA, include a 5.5-inch version of the phone dubbed the R9, and a bigger 6-inch phablet dubbed the R9 Plus. Unfortunately, the listing also shows that the two phones won’t be coming with Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 820 processor, rather the mid-range Snapdragon 652.
Both phones will come with 4GB of RAM, and both devices get a 16-megapixel rear camera. The R9 is expected to ship with a 2850mAh battery while the bigger R9 Plus will have a 4120mAh unit.
