OPPO’s F1s Start Receiving Marshmallow Update

OPPO’s selfie-centric camera starts receiving Marshmallow update

If you’ve given up hope in seeing Android 6.0 Marshmallow in OPPO’s F1s selfie-phone, don’t dispair – the Chinese company has officially started rolling out updates for the phone.

The F1s, launched back in August last year, came with the company’s ColorOS UI and Android Lollipop in a time where most devices were launching with Android Marshmallow. While OPPO updated the F1s to have more storage and RAM with a refreshed model last year, the company by and large left the OS alone with the new model.

The new update is live for devices in Australia, though it won’t be long until it starts rolling out to the rest of the world. You can manually download and install the update via the source link below, but that’s no guarantee that it’ll work for PH units. OPPO’s R9 and R9 Plus will also get the Marshmallow update, though these phones were sadly not offered in the PH.
