Panasonic Makes A Statement with its First Full-Frame Mirrorless Cameras

It’s going to be a tough competition for full-frame mirrorless cameras

After Canon and Nikon made their respective announcements for their first full-frame mirrorless cameras, Panasonic followed it through with the announcement of the Lumix S series at Photokina 2018.

The first two models, namely the S1 and S1R, both feature professional features such as full-frame 4K60P video recording, dual in-body and in-lens IS, XQD and SD card slots, weather sealing, and a new L-mount co-developed with Leica and Sigma.

The difference is with the sensor: the S1 uses a 24-megapixel sensor, while the S1R uses a 47-megpixel sensor.

Pricing and availability for cameras are not announced as of this writing.
